Composta por Ray Charles, em 1959, a canção "What'd I Say" fez grande sucesso na época do seu lançamento, recebendo diversas versões nos anos seguintes. É uma pena que uma canção tão boa esteja esquecida e seja pouco executada nos dias de hoje. Dentre todas as versões de "What'd I Say", escolhi esta, na bela voz do cantor Roy Orbison.

Pelo que consegui apurar, este vídeo faz parte de uma curta apresentação, intitulada "Monument Concert", e foi realizada na Holanda, em 1965. Sobre a letra da canção, preciso informar que existem algumas versões bem diferentes. Isso ocorre porque cada artista acaba dando a sua contribuição, esticando e encurtando a música, acrescentando ou retirando versos. As vezes, o próprio Ray Charles fazia isso.
